At his best, Barney Roy would nearly be favourite for this but that was before his time at stud, ended by fertility problems. His Dubai defeat of Magic Lily doesn’t read quite so well as it did a month ago. Headman looked a work in progress last year and ought to be a Group One contender this summer.
