Dettori’s mount, Marie’s Diamond, is of course shortening in the betting but he is winless since July, does not seem to be improving and looks held by Space Blues on Epsom form. Air Hair Lair is not good enough to get involved but it’s pleasing to see his name on a Royal Ascot racecard just the same – try saying it to yourself in your poshest, most nasal voice.
