Jude Rogers joins them\u201cI was all right until this week, but now I\u2019ve started swearing at inanimate objects.\u201d Stewart Lee \u2013 comedian on lockdown and heavily bearded columnist of this parish \u2013 is in his record-filled north London study, on Zoom, with one of his musical heroes. It\u2019s not him who\u2019s ranting, though. It\u2019s Shirley Collins, the first lady of English folk music.Collins has been home alone since early March, which is \u201ca bit rubbish\u201d, she says; after all, she had a busy summer ahead. Her new album, Heart\u2019s Ease, comes out next week \u2013 she had a few festival dates planned \u2013 and it\u2019s also her 85th birthday two days after we speak.
