Significant rises in house prices in Blackburn and its surrounds are occurring while London\u2019s building bonanza has gone into reverse.Estate agents are predicting an average UK growth of around 14% in house prices over the next five years with the north-west experiencing a boom at 18%. In contrast London, where it once seemed a dog kennel could fetch more than a semi-detached in Blackburn, is expected to slip back to around 7%.
