Los incidentes se iniciaron sobre las nueve y media de la noche cuando un numeroso grupo de internos -160 seg\u00fan algunas fuentes, aunque el Ministerio del Interior rebaja esta cifra a 80- intentaron forzar las puertas para huir. Para ello, utilizaron bancos y extintores como arietes.
