The match hinged on an unusual incident just before half-time: Aleksandar Mitrovic had a goal dubiously disallowed, and 14 seconds later Mo Salah gave Liverpool the lead at the other end. The impressive Xherdan Shaqiri added a lovely second goal just after the break, and the rest of the match was a training exercise.
